Michelle Draxton

Manager of Generation Physical Security – Exelon Corporation

Michelle has been with Exelon for 29 years and in Corporate and Information Security for 16 years. She currently manages a team of highly talented security specialists who ensure compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures as well as protect the personnel and assets of Exelon generation facilities within the U.S., Canada and supports London and international operations.  Michelle organizes and coordinates investigations involving allegations of criminal matters, fraud, computer crimes, intellectual property and other security issues with her team and develops risk assessments and security plans to ensure compliance with multiple federal regulatory bodies.  Michelle is an active member of the Dam Sector Coordinating Council that serves as the private sector interface with the federal government on issues related to the security of dams.   

Rick Williams

Global Security Manager- Chevron Phillips Chemical Company

Rick Williams joined Chevron Phillips Chemical Company in January 2009, as the Global Security Manager. He is responsible for developing and implementing corporate security programs to protect company personnel, assets, operations, information and reputation globally. Prior to joining Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, Rick worked for the ExxonMobil Global Security Department for nine years. While at ExxonMobil, he progressed through a number of assignments to include the Global Security Department, Global Operations Manager. Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Rick enjoyed a career in the US Secret Service for over 23 1/2 years until his retirement as Special Agent in Charge of Investigative Support Division, in January 2000. Rick currently serves on the Department of Security Studies Advisory Board, Sam Houston State University, his alma mater.  Rick is also a former Chairman of the Board at ESC.

Jason Taylor

Regional Director
Texas Department of Public Safety – Southeast Texas Region

Regional Director Taylor has 21 years of law enforcement experience and currently oversees Texas DPS operations in 35 southeast Texas counties which includes the Houston metropolitan area, Galveston, Beaumont, Lufkin, Bryan-College Station, and west to Columbus.  DPS operations in the Region include the Texas Highway Patrol, Criminal Investigations Division, Texas Rangers, Aviation Operations, Crime Laboratory, Driver License, Communications, and Intelligence and Counterterrorism. 

Prior to his current appointment, Regional Director Taylor served as a Major in the Texas Rangers and was previously assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, and Texas Highway Patrol.  

Jim Denman
EOG Resources – Loss Prevention Advisor

Prior to joining EOG Resources, Mr. Denman retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety after 34 years assigned as a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper, a Texas Ranger for over 10 years, a Texas Ranger Lieutenant for 10 years.  Prior to that, he attended Texas A & M University in College Station, TX.  Jim is from San Antonio TX.

Darin R. Dillon, CPP
Convergint Technologies – Energy Principal

Darin is a business leader with 35+ years of broad experience working in the electronic security and integrated systems industry. He consults with C-suite leadership on issues concerning risks, regulations/policy and returns on investments via improved process, automation, workflow, etc. He holds a Masters in Security Management, teaches on Enterprise Security Solutions to graduate students plus routinely speaks at conferences on regulatory matters, security trends plus anti-terrorism. 

Wayne Wicks
Wayne Wicks Security Advisors – President

Owner of Wayne Wicks Security Advisors with focus on the Energy industry.

Prior to starting his security company in 1982, Wayne was a Houston Police Officer and a former Louisiana Deputy Sheriff after graduating from college and working in the oil and gas industry.

David T. Rainwater
Murphy Exploration and Production Company – Manager, Global Security and Emergency Response 

Mr. Rainwater provides direct and supervisory oversight to all physical security operations, investigations, crisis management, travel safety/security and emergency response throughout all operating areas of the company. 

Prior to joining Murphy, he spent a career with the Texas Department of Public Safety, serving in the Texas Highway Patrol and Texas Rangers. Prior to that, Mr. Rainwater served in the United States Marine Corps. 

Tim Foley
Athos Group – Security Risk Management Consultant

Tim Foley joined Athos Group after a successful career as an attorney, Special Agent and Senior Executive with the United States Secret Service and Director of Security for Spectra Energy, a Fortune 500 energy company. He serves as Athos’ Director of Risk Management Services, assisting corporate clients in major construction project security management, security of physical assets, protection of key personnel and company brand, and special events and major venue security. His extensive experience in protest management and oil and gas pipeline projects has made him a subject-matter expert for companies facing security and community relations challenges in their multi-billion-dollar projects.

Robert F. Ream III
Helmerich and Payne Inc. – Director Global Security

Robert Ream is Helmerich and Payne Inc.’s Director of Global Security based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  

From 2018- mid 2019, Robert was Anadarko Petroleum Company’s Director of International Security.  Robert held this role as part of the Houston based Corporate Security Department, but spent extensive amounts of time in North and East Africa.  Prior to joining Anadarko, Robert was BHP Billiton Petroleum’s Senior Manager for Global Security, Crisis and Emergency Management. Robert held this role from April of 2013 through the end of 2017.   From 2002-2013, Robert was Shell Oil Company’s Regional Security Manager for the Americas Region.  Prior to joining Shell Oil Company, Robert served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Coast Guard where he served 20+ years in both the Active and Reserve components.  

Rob is also a former Chairman of the Board at ESC.

Brian K. Cook
Chevron Global Security – Regional Manager for the Americas region 

Mr. Cook manages a wide variety of security programs for Chevron’s range of industry operations throughout North, Central and South America.  He has worked for the company in Central and Eastern Europe, Angola and Houston.

Prior to joining Chevron, Mr. Cook served for 23 years as a special agent with the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service.  His service included domestic assignments in New York City, Washington, DC and international assignments in Russia, Poland and Peru.  He also served as an Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge for the Secretary of State’s Protective Detail.

Larry Satterwhite
Houston Police Department – Assistant Chief

Larry J Satterwhite is a community-oriented law enforcement executive with the Houston Police Department (HPD) with nearly 30 years in law enforcement in the fourth largest city in the United States and the most diverse urban city in the world.  He is the Assistant Chief over the Homeland Security Command and is responsible for protecting Houston and the surrounding region.  Chief Satterwhite is a lead-from-the-front problem solver focused on building trust with the public and the men and women within the organization.

Recent accomplishments are overseeing the safety and management of Super Bowl 51 and the World Series in both 2017 and 2019, successfully managing the myriad protests throughout the city over the past five years, and serving as the incident commander in response to one of the worst natural disasters to ever strike the United States in Hurricane Harvey.  

Mitch Price
Cheniere Energy - Vice President and Chief Security Risk Officer 

Mr. Price provides executive oversight to all physical security operations, IT Security and the Enterprise Crisis Management Program.

Prior to joining Cheniere, Mr. Price served as the Global Security Manager at Murphy Oil.  Prior to his career at Murphy he served as a Supervisory Special Agent with the U. S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security. Prior to that, Mr. Price served as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps. 

Mitch is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of ESC.

Mark Dawson
Homeland Security Investigations - Special Agent in Charge 

Mr. Dawson has direct oversight of investigations, enforcement initiatives, and operations targeting transnational criminal organizations that exploit America’s travel, trade, and financial systems for illicit purposes within the area of responsibility of the HSI Houston office.

Prior to this assignment, Mr. Dawson was the Deputy Special Agent in Charge HSI Laredo, Texas, with direct oversight of the HSI Laredo, HSI Brownsville, HSI Harlingen, HSI McAllen, and HSI Falcon Dam offices.  This area of responsibility includes over 300 miles of international border, 22 ports of entry, 7 U.S. Border Patrol checkpoints, and over 325 law enforcement officers and support personnel. 

Mr. Dawson has served in several roles at HSI headquarters including his role as Operations Chief in Domestic Operations.  Mr. Dawson began his law enforcement career in 1997 as a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Laredo, Texas.


Mike Peters
Lewis Energy Group - Global Security Manager

Mr. Peters manages all physical security operations for Lewis Energy.

Prior to Lewis Energy Mr. Peters served on the San Antonio Police Department for 33 years.  He was rehired after retiring as the Technology Manager for the SAPD.
