Our Mission is protecting the energy industry from emerging physical and cyber threats through a unique public private partnership of operating companies, law enforcement, academia, and security industry partners.

Welcome to the Energy Security Council Website - The Premier Energy Security Networking Organization

We believe the need for effective networking and information sharing among security  professionals gets more critical every year.  We are a one of a kind non-profit organization, since 1982,  that consists of executive, mid-level managers, and professionals who represent global oil and gas exploration and production, renewables, power generation, transmission, pipelines, marketing, petrochemical and related service companies.

ESC Highlights its Board of Directors

One way to judge the strength and leadership of an organization is to look at the leaders who volunteer their time to serve on the Board of Directors and guide and direct the organization.  At the Energy Security Council, we are extremely proud of the composition of our seasoned Board of Directors, all of whom are involved in security in the energy sector and who are all proven leaders in their own companies and organizations.

Critical Infrastructure Colleagues and Partners,

***For widest distribution amongst CISA partners ***

CISA, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) have released a joint Cybersecurity Advisory (CSA), #StopRansomware: Vice Society, to disseminate tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and indicators of compromise (IOCs) associated with Vice Society actors identified through FBI investigations as recently as September 2022. Vice Society uses ransomware attacks against the education sector to gain access to, and threaten exposure of, sensitive personal information regarding students and staff for financial gain.

CISA encourages organizations to review #StopRansomware: Vice Society for more information. Additionally, see Read More]
